Running Candle Studio 1422 has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. What started as a simple idea—to share my love of candle-making—turned into a business filled with light, creativity, community, and so many incredible memories. From DIY workshops and scent-filled Saturdays to all the laughter, learning, and deep conversations that happened at the candle bar… I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
But here’s the big news: I’ve decided to transition Candle Studio 1422 back to an online-only business. Our physical studio will officially close on June 21, and our final in-person candle-making experience will be on Sunday, June 15.
Now before you think this is a sad goodbye—let me clarify. This is actually a joyful step forward.
Honestly, I’m so excited about this next chapter—it feels like coming home.
And speaking of home… that’s a big reason why I’m making this change.
As many of you know, I’m a mom to teenage twins. These past few years, while I’ve been pouring candles and running a studio, I’ve also been missing out on life with my kids and extended family—games, birthdays, weddings, family dinners, and baby showers. Moments I can’t get back.
The Studio required so much of me—physically, mentally, emotionally. And while I’ve loved it deeply, I’ve come to realize I want to be more present for the people who matter most to me.
So this isn’t about stepping back—it’s about stepping into something new, with more flexibility, more family time, and (yes!) more room to dream, test, and create.
Here’s what I’m really looking forward to:

✨ Testing new products and fragrances to bring even more beauty into your homes
✨ Expanding our DIY Candle-Making Kits so you can pour from wherever you are
✨ Growing The Concrete Candle Club, our monthly subscription filled with exclusive scents
✨ Educating new candle makers through online classes, resources, and more
✨ And (finally!) getting back to writing for The Soy Candle Mentor blog and Podcast—a space I’ve dreamed of building into a go-to resource for aspiring makers
💛 Being present for life’s big (and small) moments—without missing another family event

I’m so grateful to every single one of you who’s walked through those studio doors, shared a laugh, told me about your favorite scent, or simply followed along on this journey. Whether we’ve met in person or online, you’ve been a part of something really beautiful.
This next chapter is full of possibilities, and I can’t wait to share it with you.
