There’s something special about the feeling of coming in from the cold and stepping into a warm, cozy lodge.

That feeling is exactly what inspired Ski Lodge, our October Candle Club scent.

The Inspiration Behind Ski Lodge

This month’s candle was inspired by my family. My husband and kids love to ski, and Colorado and Vermont are two of their favorite places to go.

I’ve only been on one ski trip myself, so I can’t exactly call myself a skier—but I do understand the appeal of everything that comes with it: the mountain setting, the warmth of the lodge, soft layers, the glow of a fire, and that cozy feeling at the end of the day.

That atmosphere is what I wanted Ski Lodge to capture.

What Ski Lodge Smells Like

Ski Lodge is warm, smoky, rich, and comforting.

Birchwood and leather create a rustic, grounded base, while chimney smoke adds that unmistakable fireside feel. Candied chestnuts bring in a subtle sweetness, and cashmere softens the entire blend with a smooth, cozy finish.

The result is a scent that feels both elevated and inviting—like a mountain lodge retreat in candle form.

I love that Ski Lodge feels seasonal without being overly typical.
